About

Some of my favorite early childhood memories involve visits to Macon County, North Carolina, where my great grandparents lived out a good portion of their retired years. Growing up in the Midwest, I couldn’t get enough of the sights and smells of the Blue Ridge Mountains in late Fall. Think slow cooked ham, long leaf pine after a downpour, early morning fog rolling in over the treetops, mountains and valleys for miles in every direction, and a cozy front porch haphazardly attached to the double wide trailer my grandparents called home from which to take it all in.

After finishing my undergraduate studies, I made my way back to the Old North State, and I have been extremely proud to call North Carolina home ever since. Two years later, I became a Research Analyst for the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) and have continued to assist EDPNC on an adhoc basis to this day. Contributing even in small ways to the economic success of our great state has proven to be a very rewarding experience, and I look forward to serving the economic development community in NC for many years to come.

During my time at EDPNC, I noted that while many of our local EDOs may not require or be able to justify hiring an additional FTE, they may benefit from on-demand research services not otherwise provided by EDPNC or NC Commerce, such as in cases when incoming leads are not yet lead qualified or assigned to a project manager. Recognizing that I am equipped with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to bridge this gap, I launched Old North State RFI Assistance. As EDPNC’s “relief valve” for all things Research, my goal is to provide that same level of support for our many small but mighty economic development organizations across the state. If you or your organization would like to discuss how you can benefit from experienced, on demand economic development research assistance, please reach out!
